Knitted Planet

This hard bound concertina book was drawn onto a large lithographic stone and each book printed onto one larger sheet of paper to be later divided and bound with text added.

The imagery refers to the childlike version of what a knitted planet might look like and harks back to the artist's childhood thoughts of making a soft place with her mother to cushion her from the hardships of a difficult life.

Each purchase is accompanied by a unique hand knitted book sleeve. The imagery was drawn by Sheree Kinlyside and the book printed in an edition of 20 at Umbrella Studio, Townsville by skilled lithographer Jill O'Sullivan.
